Job Overview

PCTE Group of Institutes is hiring a Hardware & Networking Engineer to manage and support the institute's IT infrastructure. The role involves maintaining computer systems, network connectivity, servers, CCTV systems, biometric devices, and providing technical assistance to ensure uninterrupted campus operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, projectors, and other IT equipment.

• Maintain and monitor LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, and network connectivity.

• Configure IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security settings.

• Install, update, and maintain Windows operating systems and business applications.

• Perform system backups, software updates, antivirus management, and data recovery when required.

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, network, email, ERP, and printer-related issues.

• Manage CCTV surveillance systems, biometric attendance devices, and access control systems.

• Maintain IT asset records, licenses, warranties, maintenance schedules, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with ISPs, hardware vendors, and software service providers for installation, maintenance, and procurement.

• Support technical requirements during seminars, workshops, examinations, and institutional events.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Electronics, or a related field.

• Diploma or Degree in Hardware & Networking or Computer Engineering is preferred.

• Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Network+, RHCE, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

• 2–5 years of experience in hardware support and network administration.

• Experience in educational institutions or corporate environments will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware installation and troubleshooting.

• Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP.

• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, CCTV systems, biometric devices, and cybersecurity practices.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and deliver timely IT support.
